Handmade Stoneware Mug
Made using a gorgeous speckled clay

Each mug starts out as a slab of clay and we build it up by hand to make the mug.    Not all mugs will be perfectly round, this is the beauty of handmade and making in small batches like we do.

Glazes used are food safe.

The bottom 5mm of the mug will be left raw.  This is not shown in the sample photo.

All mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe but we do recommend hand washing but that's only because dishwashers etc can be a bit brutal.

Please note:   The mug shown is for someone who drinks with their right hand so the text will face away from you.  Others will see this as you drink.

Pre-orders usually have a turn around of 8 weeks.  For the October/November period though we will be taking orders in two separate lots.  We will have a set limit on the number of pre-order mugs we take.   The first lot will be Round 1, these will get made first.   If we fill the number limit we have set for Round 1, we will proceed and take orders for Round 2.

All pre-orders need to be paid in advance.  No payment and they won't be made.

Due to the nature of ceramics,  some mugs may need to be re-made so please take this into account.   Each mug is fired twice.  First to 1000 degrees, then to 1220 degrees.   Lots can go wrong during the process and no matter how careful we are that natural nature of firing can be very unpredictable.
